Forms, Agendas, & Getting Expenses Approved
One of the most important ways to interact with the chapter is by requesting time to share your idea, publicize upcoming chapter events, and get reimbursed for chapter expenses. See the official channels for how to request these below!
Comms Request

- You can submit a comms request to publicize an event or activity in the chapter newsletter or on the chapter socials. In submitting a comms request, keep in mind these guidelines. To promote events that are not organized by DSA or an organization on our list of endorsed organizations, you must receive approval from the Steering Committee. You can request approval in the ask-an-officer channel of the chapter Discord. Make sure you’re signed up for our chapter newsletter!
Request Time on the Steering Committee Agenda
- Post in #ask-an-officer on Discord
- This will add a topic to the weekly steering committee (SC) agenda. A member of SC will respond in the thread and confirm, along with any questions they may have. SC meetings occur weekly, in the discord meeting room, and are posted on the chapter google calendar.
Getting Expenses Approved
- Email: ncpdsatreasurer@gmail.com
- TDSA is able to reimburse members for expenses associated with growing the chapter and its (active) campaigns. This often takes the form of reserving spaces to hold events, printing flyers, or purchasing supplies or food.
- To request reimbursement for a chapter expense, email: ncpdsatreasurer@gmail.com with a copy of the receipt and the email address associated with your PayPal account, and the chapter treasurer should issue reimbursement within a few business days. Reimbursements can also be made via check—if you need a reimbursement made via check, please make sure to make this clear when emailing the chapter treasurer.
- For expenses over $200 dollars, expenses outside of the accepted Chapter Campaigns, or if you are unsure if an expense will be approved, please ask in the #ask-an-officer Discord channel.
